SAFEGUARDING ADULTS Level 3 POLICY, PROCEDURES AND GOOD PRACTICE GUIDANCE 2015

The course covers the wider context and processes relevant to Adult Safeguarding and there is an emphasis on roles and responsibilities of care managers and those with line management positions within the procedures. 

 

Target Group

Care Managers, Registered Managers, Managers and Assistant Managers in Provider Services

 
AIM

To emphasise the roles and responsibilities of care managers and those with line management positions in line with St Helens Multi-Agency Safeguarding Adults Policy, Procedures and Good Practice Guidance and to ensure that staff are familiar with the wider context and processes relevant to Adult Safeguarding.



LEARNING OBJECTIVES

By the end of the day participants will be able to:

  • Explain what 'safeguarding' means and who it applies to (Care Act 2014
  • Describe their role in keeping people safe
  • Summaries the differences between safeguarding concerns and enquiries, quality concerns and complaints
  • Describe the Safeguarding Enquiry process and the roles and responsibilities of participants within the Safeguarding Enquiry
  • Describe their own role within a Safeguarding Enquiry.

 

This course was previously called St Helens Multi Agency Safeguarding Adults Policy, Procedures and Good Practice Guidance 2015.

Please be advised St Helens Safeguarding Adults Board has introduced a charging process for non-attendance of booked training places on all Safeguarding Adults training courses. The charge for failing to attend without notice will be £100 and this charge will be applied to the department/organisation, not the individual.
