Delegates must of previously attended the 2 day Person Centred Skills and Approaches course prior to this training.

Course Description

 

This course is for anyone who contributes to developing a support plan, it is aworkshop to expand your knowledge and skills of being truly person centred and enable you to increase the outcomes that make a real difference in peoples lives. It is a chance to share good practice and hear of real examples of how planning can work in supporting steps towards independence.

  

This course will enable delegates to:

  • Discuss the importance of and be clear of what purpose planning should be linked to
  • Discover how to ensure that support planning leads to people having positive control in their lives
  • Explore the potential barriers that people face in the person being able to self direct their support plan
  • Discover how to use processes that will ensure that how we work with people is equitable
  • Develop and learn from the tools that work with person centred approaches and personalisation
  • Discover what is working or not working and how to take steps to working with solutions
  • Be confident with creative thinking skills in helping people self direct
  • Be clear about the responsibilities they have in relation to helping self directed support work for people
