This training programme is aimed at all staff within the Adult Social Care and Health department and Independent Providers who have direct involvement and contact with service users.
A one-day programme to investigate the general principles of infection prevention and control, emphasising the key role that health care professionals play in minimising the spread of intection.
The session will make delegates aware of the significance of infection control practice and demonstrate those groups most at risk.
Using case studies, the training will highlight what can happen as a result of bad practice and underline the importance of infection control techniques and good communication.
A short multiple choice exam at the end of the session will lead to a Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH) Level 2 Awareness in Decontamination in Health and Social Care Settings.
