Medication Safety Training
Divided into 4 units, this one-day intensive training session will look at the current legislation and guidance for handling medicines. Discussions around the roles, responsibilities and boundaries of the care worker and other healthcare professionals involved with medicines will take place, whilst recognising the different care contexts.
Person Centred Support Planning
<strong>Delegates must of previously attended the 2 day Person Centred Skills and Approaches course prior to this training</strong>.
This course is for anyone who contributes to developing a support plan, it is a workshop to expand your knowledge and skills of being truly person centred and enable you to increase the outcomes that make a real difference in peoples lives. It is a chance to share good practice and hear of real examples of how planning can work in supporting steps towards independence.
Person Centred Skills and Approaches
This is a 2-day workshop for people who provide support for service users. To appreciate why we should be using person centred thinking skills and to learn how to use the skills in gathering information for people they support. This will provide you with new, improved and more natural ways to contribute to a person’s plan. Participants will more likely develop the values needed to support people in having positive control over their lives.
Delegates who have attended this course are able to attend the Person Centred Support Planning.
Safer People Handling
To provide staff with the knowledge with regard to current practice and the legal requirements for safe moving and handling. During the session delegates will be required to particiapate in safer people handling techniques.
